The Watson’s Way
Watson's is a fine-casual chicken shack, bar, & restaurant. We are located in the heart of downtown Champaign, in the immediate vicinity of the University of Illinois in Urbana-Champaign (UIUC).
Our specialties include fried and rotisserie style chicken with our Nashville Hot Chicken and Fried Chicken & Waffles taking center stage on most nights. Our delicious chicken is supplemented with seasonal sides and chef-driven appetizers and specials.
In addition, we offer a wide selection craft beers, local beers, and micro spirits along with a selection of our house made cocktails. A trip in to the shack would not be complete without tasting one of our delicious slushies which we have become famous for in the Champaign-Urbana area. We pride ourselves on creating the most unique “Adult Slushies” and have ignited a trend among restaurants in downtown.
We also have a Food Truck that is around the Champaign County area. We are on campus some days, at breweries on others…see the schedule to find out! Other services we offer include catering, private events, and we’re available on most of the online ordering services. Stop in to the restaurant and try it all out for yourself!
We aim to provide a safe and enjoyable dining experience in a space that is open and accessible to everyone. A delicious meal that is meant to be enjoyed with friends, family, and loved ones; plain and simple!
In addition, we strive to maintain an active role in the Champaign-Urbana community.
We feel that as a central figure in the thriving downtown community we can utilize this position to lead by example and provide the people in the Champaign-Urbana area and the students at UIUC with support and leadership they may not otherwise receive from a typical restaurant.
We have made it our mission to support local food banks, provide our employees livable wages, and participate in community driven events and programs.
